History


This place earlier called kata golap garden because Wood Roses called Kata Golap in bengali. Use to grow Abounded in this garden. For this , the place is called Katgola Bagan.  Owned by a Jain Businessman family,the Dugars. They hired a Franch Architecture for design the place in 19th century.  The Victoria Lions and  Michelangelo statue . This place is a perfect mixer of arts  and architecture.

This place in built in 1873 by Laxmipat Singh Dugar ,will find 17 images of jain  Trithanker and other deities , and as you go inside the palace you will be left awestruck  by the valuable painting , mirrors and valuable furniture.


what make it beautiful :

 Murshidabad hold a lot of significant and erstwhile bengal's political and cultural history.
But one place many people don't know about Katgoal Bagan. Only when you explore murshidabad a little more is when you find 19th century place.we can see in this place a Underground ternnel, local people said that Laxmipat Dugar use this Ternnel for busines purpose . He going to it of Jagat sath House for Business deal.

Recently a Zoo is open in Katgola Bagan. you can see various types of rear birds, Fishes, small size animal, Ostrich, peacock, pigon, Rabbits etc. so must visit this place when you enter th Katgola bagan.
